It happened. We ended up getting duped into overpaying for medical services for our pet. What was supposed to be a minimal, understandable charge somehow sprouted into a “you want me to pay you what?” moment. Our little Porkchop has been fighting a cold for the past two weeks and when we took him in for his checkup the vet urged us to get some x-rays in case he had pneumonia. Any parent know that the word pneumonia brings on a panic attack. So, of course we rushed him to the hospital that came recommended by the vet. Only problem was that we took him to the wrong hospital. That’s right the affordable facility was located a few blocks down from the facility that ripped us off. Doh!
Three hours later out the vet found that our pet did not have pneumonia but rather a cold and a narrow trachea. Porkchop came home with us complete with a set of x-rays, blood results and medication.
Lessons of the day: double check prices, addresses and look into pet insurance.
So happy to have you home, Porkchop!
Beans was very worried about her brother. Yeah right!
